Today we’re back to normalizing childfree weddings with another installment in the Childfree Wedding Series on YouTube. As a reminder, these episodes are video-driven but they are still available on your regular podcast app (minus all the facial expressions!). Listening options are at the bottom of this post.
If you would like to share your childfree wedding story, about either your wedding or one you attended, fill out the form at pauletteerato.com/childfreewedding.
Today’s guest is Andrea Watt, who married her husband after a long friendship and short engagement. They almost didn’t get to have the wedding they wanted, but then got creative with compromises.
My favorite quote from Andrea’s story is:
Everybody got something. And I'm not saying everyone was really happy with what they got, but everyone got something they could be happy with.
Life is full of compromises, and Andrea’s wedding had 3 major ones. But in the end, they had the wedding they always wanted. Including the gorgeous and unconventional gown you can see in the image above—which arrived in Mexico after Andrea and her fiancé did!
The moral of Andrea’s story is: a childfree wedding is absolutely worth holding out for.
