Episode recommendation: TWWL kicked off a new season this week after a 5 year hiatus. Check out the first episode The Representation Gap in Thought Leadership Sucks: It's Time for a Change.
💻Stay tuned: Host Gaby Acosta is covering podcast tech for non-techies at the 2024 L.I.P. Virtual Summit, including essentials for planning, recording, editing, and promoting your show.
Rekindle Your Light
Description: Ever had those moments when life felt like it drop-kicked you into the depths of rock bottom? Well, I've been there too. I've weathered significant losses and navigated through my darkest night of the soul in 2022– and yes, I promise to spill it all.
Since then, my sense of purpose has undergone a transformation. I'll be sharing my journey and the stories of people who found light in the wake of darkness. These tales will inspire you, equip you with the tools for personal transformation, and perhaps, even heal parts of your own soul. My goal is to reignite the inner spark within you.

Episode recommendation: You might remember host Ydaiber Orozoco from the LVMC episode on Human Design recently. I’ll be on her show in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, we did what’s called a “feed swap” where my episode is out for her listeners. Check out Human Design 101.
💻Stay tuned: Ydaiber’s L.I.P. session is about transferable skills to and from podcasting. It’s all about using your own unique talents to create authentic and impactful content.
The Exit Interview: A Podcast for Black Educators
Description: Amidst all of the conversations about the recruitment of Black educators, where are the discussions about retention? The Exit Interview podcast was created to elevate the stories of Black educators who have been pushed out of the classroom, main or central office. The podcast asks guests to share their education journey, the "last straw" that made them decide to leave education, and, most importantly, what they are doing now that they have left the traditional education sphere.
🎧Listen to The Exit Interview: A Podcast for Black Educators here
Episode recommendation: Former educator Dr. Asia Lyons’ story is disheartening. She started the show because no one gets an exit interview when they leave education, and she thinks school administrations need to do better. Give Healing From Racial Fatigue with Jason Shankle a listen to get the gist of what Black educators (as well as other minorities) are experiencing in today’s classroom.
💻Stay tuned: Dr. Lyons will share the personal story behind her podcast at L.I.P., focusing on the power of a mission for keeping the newbie podcaster motivated. Her approach to podcasting is unique in that she considers herself an archivist for these stories told on her show, a calling she doesn’t take lightly.
