From Devastated to Dreaming
Volume 16 of ¡El Playlist! features Latinas spotlighting deep issues
Now that last week’s high 🌿😮💨has (hopefully) worn off, here are 2 shows that are both helmed by Latinas and doing amazing work bringing their respective issues and stories to audiences.

Episode recommendation: There are so many rich and varied stories to choose from on this podcast. But if you were curious about the origin story to my own origin story, then From Mexico to the US to Pack Tomatoes with Rosalba (English), which features my own mother, is a great place to start. And probably also explains why I love a good garden fresh tomato.🍅🍅🍅
From Devastated to Divorced

Join Josie Falcon, a separation survival specialist and podcast host, as she offers a blend of emotional support and practical guidance in navigating this difficult transition. Episode recommendation: Josie recently rebranded the show, which used to be called Heavy Pages, to reflect the true focus of the podcast. The full title includes the tagline: Your guide through the unwanted end of a marriage. Even if you’re not a divorcee, the process of separating is challenging. She recommends starting with her episode describing the 5 chapters of surviving a separation, the aptly named From DEVASTATED to DIVORCED, a guide.
I met Josie personally at a podcast conference last year where she defended my childfree Latina podcast to an asshole dad from New York. The video I made retelling that story is below:
