I love how the title of this week’s issue translates to thriving with self-love. Because of course we’re celebrating self-love this month! And when I came across a new podcast expressly about the self-love journey, I knew I had to include it this week in particular.
So here are some Latina hosted podcasts to help you find some more of your own self-love. Starting with the aptly named, Amor Propio and finishing with Latinas Thriving!
Amor Propio Podcast

This is your passport to celebrating the greatness within and the extraordinary power of authenticity and self-love.

Episode recommendation: In keeping with the theme of a recent LVMC episode, Amor Propio’s last episode is also on grief. Episode 18: Grief is Love With No Where To Go…is a beautiful reframe of grief.
Latinas Thriving
Description: Hosts Meda Trelles and Kim Lopez talk about the things they wish they knew as first-gen Latinas in white spaces. How does one get into an Ivy league college? Does your major really matter? Why do I feel like such an impostor at work? Y mucho mas.

Episode recommendation: On their pre-Valentine episode, the hosts talk about their own 15+ year friendship starting at Cornell, and how a relationship changes as we get older. They even delve into navigating conflict, which can be handled differently in romantic relationships. Check out 4. Pre-Valentine's: Friendship & our meet cute.
