Before we jump into recommendations for issue #26, I have a question for you. How many recommendations would you like to see each week? Do you like receiving just two or would you like more?
Cast your vote in this poll:
And now onto these recommendations. The end of March proved to be a whirlwind of Latinidad for me, which is exactly what I’m looking for these days…plus a way to get more recommendations for you! The highlights include:
volunteering at LATINAfest
hosting the inaugural Latinas in Podcasting1 event with previous guest Theresa Gonzales
attending Podcast Movement Evolutions (shout out to
for complimenting this newsletter!😍😍😍)co-hosting a meetup for Latines at PME again with Theresa and new podcast bestie Azucena Garcia (more about her below)
hanging out at the release of this month’s Something Latina magazine with some cool peeps, like Yovy Daniels (who you’ll also meet down below).
I’ve caught a cold as a way for my body to remind me 7 events in 9 days isn’t the same in your 20s as it is in your 40s. *sad violins*
But I did meet some amazing podcasters, like these two amazing women. Both who podcast in Spanish (or Spanglish):

Episode recommendation: hosted by my aforementioned bestie Azucena Garcia, Parálisis Cerebral Respuestas is a labor of necessity. Azucena was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and her parents struggled to find resources in their native Spanish. Her podcast, though very new, fills the void with a wealth of information about the disorder, primarily in Spanish. Azucena suggests beginning with the very first episode where she shares her story: Episodio 1- Quien soy y por que hago este podcast.

My podcast cover art is a masterpiece crafted by CelesteR, a graphic designer and animator. Este podcast está diseñado para sacar a la luz diferentes tipos de experiencias personales, cuentos, historias, y, ¿por qué no?, algunas tertulias Afrolatinx. Vamos a explorar las anécdotas de la diáspora.

Episode recommendation: Yovy would recommend you begin listening to her podcast with this episode featuring Camille Vogl. It’s a mostly English episode discussing Camille’s rise as a Latina in tech. CC3- Camille Vogl - Nicaraguan/Afro-PuertoRican working in Silicon Valley
